I’m trying to cancel Nest Aware but I have an old email linked to the account and I don’t have access. So I can’t manage the account at all. Because of the email issue I can’t access any of the help contacts.

You could try contacting Support:
1. Go to https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp.
2. Select a category/product family, and type in a brief description of the issue, then click "Next".
3. Select your device from the dropdown, click "Other", then click "Next step".
4. Under "Resources", just click "Next step". (Clicking one of the listed links will bring up a Help page.)
5. Under "Contact options", choose to get a phone call or chat with the team, depending on availability in your country.

@Afinney You don't need access to your account to contact support.
However, I suspect support won't be able to help here. If you can't regain access to that email address, the only workaround I know of would be to cancel the card you used.
