That's the behavior you get with the newer cameras if you do NOT have a subscription (https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9681538?hl=en). Do you have more than one Google Nest "home/structure" or more than one Google Account, and could the subscription have been applied to the wrong Google Nest "home/structure" or Google Account?
You can check your subscription here; if you select your subscription, it will show which Google Nest "home/structure" it applies to:
In the Google Home app, you can also go into Settings | Nest Aware and see which subscription you have for the Google Nest "home/structure" to which you are connected.
