Hi is there anyway to be credited back for when my camera died and went offline 5+ months ago?

Google Store sends an email a few months before your renewal date to ensure that you have enough time to manage your subscription. Have you tried checking your email for your subscription renewal? Also, can you share what Nest Aware plan you have to further assist you?
