We had an incident at our home and could only pull of a recording our Backyard battery camera and looks like the history only held for 3 hours so we can no longer get a recording of it. What are the current recording options for our cameras, batter and power only. It’s very confusing what app we are supposed to use for what, whether its in the Nest app or Google account. What Is our current subscription paying for?
Charges-
03/24/25- GOOGLE *Google Nest
$15.00
--Recording only on battery cameras? With 3 hours limit before deleting info?
--Recording words on old Nest ap with 3 hours??
Camera’s (6 total at home including the doorbell)
Drive way
Drive way camera – Battery
Front yard, front step
Front Door, Nest door bell wired
Backyard, door w/power
Backyard Camera, Battery. When I do a full history it just shows “no recorded events”
Other older devices we still us on Nest Guard app-

Guest Room- sensor
Office- sensor

Is your monthly Nest Aware Plus subscription for the same Google Nest "home/structure" as your cameras?
In the Google Home app (for your 2nd gen cameras), if you go to Settings | Video | Video History, which option is selected?
In the Google Nest app (for your 1st gen cameras), if you go to Settings | Video Recording, is "Video Recording" turned on?

I'm just another Google Nest customer, but if you're paying $15/month, that seems to be the Nest Aware Plus monthly subscription rate. But perhaps you still have an old 1st gen subscription, which Google Nest has been trying to phase out since 2019, and which only covers 1st gen cameras and doorbells.
It is also possible that your subscription is not for the same Google Nest "home/structure" as the one where your cameras are located.
If you go to the Subscription Management page (https://store.google.com/subscriptions) and click on your subscription, on that next page the name of your Google Nest "home/structure" is displayed under the word "Subscriptions". Is that the same Google Nest "home/structure" as the one where your cameras are installed? (This only applies if you have a newer 2nd gen Nest Aware or Nest Aware Plus subscription, which have been available since 2019.)
In the Google Home app, if you go to Settings | Subscriptions | Nest Aware, it should show your subscription.

1st gen cameras and doorbells can be accessed in the Google Nest app only.

--Not sure, how can I tell what Nest Aware Plus subscription we have? All we see it the “03/24/25- GOOGLE *Google Nest CA#24692162K34405AW8 $15.00” on our monthly charge, not sure what this actually includes at this time.
In the Google Home app (for your 2nd gen cameras), if you go to Settings | Video | Video History, which option is selected?
--ok, I see this setting now and it is on the only option of “3-hour event video history setting”
What is the next subscription level and cost that would keep these longer?
In the Google Nest app (for your 1st gen cameras), if you go to Settings | Video Recording, is "Video Recording" turned on?
--Looks like Video is on, not seeing a turn on/off function, Video under the Nest Aware section here and it list 24/7 video history as a feature.
--Can I assume if the camera/device is wired/not battery it is 1st gen?
--When in Google Home site on my laptop there is a option to sign up for “Nest Aware” for $8.00 a month then we would have 30 days of video history? I though we already had this?
Thanks😊
