Changing existing Protect systems to new owner/ new wi-fi

I recently moved into a home with existing Google Home/ Nest devices. My wired Protect systems are "offline" because of the change in internet and I cannot get my Nest app on my phone to detect or connect to the Protect. I do not know where the issue is with getting them added as products in my Nest app --- until that happens, I can't change the wi-fi they are connected to.

You either need to factory reset them and set them up again:

Reset Nest Protect and erase all settings - Google Nest Help

Or instead of factory resetting, if you're comfortable changing your router settings, you can change your new Wi-Fi network name and password in your router's settings to be the same as the previous ones. Your Nest Protects will then connect to Wi-Fi without you needing to reset them.
