Failed QR code

After doing a factory reset on my Nest Protect smoke alarm the QR code takes me to a generic google website not to the normal QR installation pathway. Stated differently the QR code does not work. Ideas? And thank you in advance.

Have you tried using the entry key instead? Tap continue without scanning in the app and use the entry key. The entry key is 6 digits long, located on the back next to the QR code.

The entry key isn’t visible either.

I was away for a couple of days so only just got to back to the Nest issue. Anyway thanks to your help the Nest is up and running. Thank you.
