Nest Protect Smoke CO detector not supported in Google Home

When will Google Home support Nest Protect devices? I cannot add them. This causes users to have to use two apps to see their Google and Nest Devices!

This is a HUGE miss by Google. I moved away from Ring to have all my devices visible/manageable by in one pane/one app, but I missed this. I never would have guessed that Google would sell products that are only supported in different apps. It is unacceptable for any company but particularly unacceptable for GOOGLE, a tech company that understands the necessity for simple management.  Very surprising and dissapointing.
