Faulty new protect - warranty claim

Hey all, 

 

So it was time to replace all the nest protects in the house which we did with brand new ones from Home Depot. One of them is having a repeated error - sensor fault - and, after running through all the 'fix' steps a few times it is clearly a faulty device. Of course we bought them in March (now Aug) and Home Depot say they are past their return window and to contact Nest. Sounds simple eh?! Finally found the warranty page (https://support.google.com/product-documentation/contact/nest_warranty) but it will not allow me to submit  the form. I have completed all the fields and tried to press to submit the form and I am getting a repeated error that says "Refresh this page and try again. Sorry, there was a problem with the form.".  Have tried with VPN off and also with firewall off for a moment - no luck. What should I do? The item is no use to me at all and I would really like to cover the hole in the ceiling with a new, working nest protect.

The same issue at my end as well, I was trying to file a claim for my Thermostat and couldn't file using this link

Sad to see Google does such a horrible job with such a simple process. No help from the Google community.
