Google nest protect unable to pair

R4nger

Hello,

Just been on the phone to Google support who have been unable to pair my protect gen 2 with the first protect gen 2.

Got cut off at the end of the support hours and now I have a hole in my ceiling without any smoke alarms working.

What I'm saying is, if this place burns down and I'm still inside then I would have to say it was the negligence of Google that was my enevernitable demise.

Do you have both of them with you? You have to factory reset them first before adding them both to the app. I believe even if it's not on the app, you can still use the smoke detectors manually. As long you can see lights on it when you press the button.

Hi folks,

@R4nger thanks for reaching out and letting us know about your concern. To know more about this, I'd like to ask some questions: How far are they from each other? How far are they from your WIfi router? During set up, both of them should have a pulsing blue light. If not, just press them one time.

Looking forward to your response.

I appreciate the help, eveluna.

Regards,
Emerson
