I cannot hear my Google Nest Smoke detector from my main living area

I have a Nest Protect CO and smoke detector in the basement near the boiler. It works great, but it is too remote to hear it from upstairs if the alarm goes off. Is there a way to have the alarm sound on my Google speakers throughout the house? It runs a test every day but I never hear it.

@JRzMom You could create an automation in the Google Home app that triggers when your alarm sounds to announce the alarm or make a sound, but Google does not recommend you use automations for safety critical use cases like this because automations can depend on working internet, Wi-Fi, and service availability.
