I'm also about 85% sure I never crossed over to Google home. And like an idiot I'm not even sure what email i used to set up all my nest equipment in the first place - but when I tried to change password for the email address I thought I used to set everything up I never get a change password email back....ugh! I wish I could push a button on one of my NEST items and it would send an email to my original account email so I could at least know where to focus my energy
Can you search your email history for emails from nest , to help identify which account you used ? The alternative is to factory reset everything and start from scratch but I definitely understand not wanting to take that route ?

I faced the exact same problem today - after logging back in all my 5 nest devices(2 outdoor cameras, 1 Hello doorbell, 2 thermostats) were removed. I had to add each one by one.
All my history from cameras and terhmostats is gone,
