Low battery with Nest Protect

My Nest Protect batteries are draining very quickly. Didn’t used to have this problem. Does anyone have a fix, except to use Energiser batteries, because that make no difference

Hi Mac2117,

Both battery and wired Protect require Energizer Ultimate Lithium AA (L91) batteries. I appreciate you mentioned that doesn't seem to make any difference, however using any other battery could be detrimental to the performance of your Nest Protect, and isn't supported by Google.

When you use the required batteries, you still get battery drain? How frequently would you say you have to replace them when using the required batteries?
