Hello all,
have 5 hardwired Nest Protect 2nd gen devices installed……connected to Xfinity XB8 on the 2.4GHz band
devices will randomly display yellow ring light after ambient lighting sensor detects light change
app shows all devices connected
occasionally devices will completely fall off WiFi and refuse to reconnect without manual reset button on device
Nest has replaced 2 of the devices under warranty after exhaustion all troubleshooting
the replacement devices started the yellow ring light the day after installation
Manually resetting the devices will clear the ring light for 24-48 hours. Original devices were installed about a year ago and run fine for about 6 months then randomly started having problems.
Google support doesn’t know what else to do…..how do I fix this?

I have already tried everything mentioned with the assistance of Nest tech support. They started replacing the units thinking that would solve the problem but it was returned.
