Hi - I was installing a new Nest Protect and when I went to push the button on the one I chose to synch with, it caved-in and cracked as it was very brittle. It is outside of its one year warranty. Regardless, this is not good quality. Is there a solution for me other than to buy a new one?

Hi snicolle,
Thanks for posting in the community!
I'm so sorry to hear that the button on your smoke alarm cracked after you pushed it. That's definitely frustrating. We want to do everything we can to help, but unfortunately, since the warranty period for this product has expired, we can't offer a replacement at this time.
If you have more questions for me, feel free to reply to this post. I'll be happy to assist further.
Best regards,
Nery.
