Nest Protect Installed before connecting to app.

My electrician installed Nest Protect in my house before I was able to connect each unit to the app, and wifi. I took one down to add to app, but it won't connect to wifi. Do I need to reset each device?

Yes, you will need to reset each Nest Protect to factory default in order to properly connect them to your Nest account via the Nest app.

While you have them down, I suggest taking a picture of the label on the back with the QR code and save it in case you need to reset them in the future. This will save you from having to remove them from their mounting locations.
