I have recently upgraded my Nest Protect, as previous versions were past the end date.
I now have a new Nest Cam, but I don't seem to be able to integrate the 2 nest devices.
I should be able to video capture from the Nest Camera when there is a smoke or carbon monoxide alarm, however the Nest App does not see the Nest Cam. The Google Home App does not see the Nest Protect device.
I now know some of new products must be used with Google Home App and some with Nest App (not clear when purchasing, as they both have same packaging), but is there a way to get the Google Home App to see the Nest devices in the Nest App, and vis versa?

I have the exact same issue. Have tried everything but the instructions provided by google are not clear and the nest app does not see the camera and the home app does not see the smoke detectors.
Additionally I have 1 home with 18 protect units and home app is not letting me add a camera to that home at all.

OK, after a lengthy chat with Google support, I am told this feature is only available in the US, and not available yet in UK, I am not convinced by this.
