Nest Protect in google home app

I can’t see it in my google home app. I followed these steps in another thread:

1. Open Google Home app.
2. Go to Settings.
3. Under Home Features select Presence Sensing.
4. Scroll down and you should see the Nest Protect you can toggle it as a motion sensor.

When Nest Protect detects a motion it will adjust if you’re home or away.

but Presence sensing isn’t in my list, and yes I crated a home.

I didn't realise you could do that. Amazed the best protects still haven't been properly added to the app, yet they are still for sale

I read on a lot of forum posts that Google were bringing Protect over to the Google Home Ecosystem. Anybody know why this still hasn't happened? Whats the official excuse from Google?

Those presence steps did not work for me when i had tried in the past and I found that was only a beta (preview) feature. It just added to the sketch that a Google "Expert" linked the advice.

Google's actions have proven that they will never migrate the Nest Protect to Google Home and will do the bare minimum to keep the legacy nest app alive to allow them to sell more units. Notice that the marketing materials show zoomed in screenshots without app name to deceive the user into assuming it functions in Google Home.
