My Nest Protect, purchased in July 2021, will not activate the light ring. It announced that the light ring cannot turn on. Looking for what to do/how to get a new unit (since it is still well within the 1-year warranty).
Is it wired or battery? If it's battery powered, it needs to be extremely dark for the light to come on. Also if the unit senses that the battery is low, it disables the light. Contact Nest support here: https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp
