Resolved! No alarm on smoke detector

Gf cooking and the smoke alarm did not go off. My old school detector in the living room and bedroom went off and the nest is in-between the 2. Ideas suggestions.. not happy for the price we pay. Alarm is only 2 weeks old

Smoke detector new but already midlife

Just bought a smoke detector. The sticker on the back says it was manufactured 6 years ago so its 60% through its useful life. I feel a bit scammed by this.
