Nest Protect “steam check”

Is there a downside to enabling “Steam Check”, especially if the device is not near a bathroom shower?

There's a whitepaper on it here but essentially, no. If an event appears similar to real smoke or fire, even if it's caused by pure steam, the alarm will still sound.
