Tuesday
I'm picking random labels since Google is going out of their way to make this process terrible.
I have a Nest Protect that I purchased just over a year ago. It dropped off the wireless network and when I try to reset it to factory defaults to add it back it starts to announce the version number and then cuts out. I've tried pulling the batteries and reinserting them while holding the power button. I tried removing all the power (it's a wired unit) and adding power back while holding the button. Nothing works to reset this.
I tried going through the process to get a replacement going but the forms are broken, neither phone call or chat work. The warranty claim form repeats that there is a problem and to reload.
What do I need to do to get a replacement device? The warranty checker (which surprisingly seems to work) lists that it has coverage until 2026. I'm not super thrilled with running without a smoke/co2 alarm so this is slightly frustrating that Google appears to be actively working on not providing support.

@superbam The best way to resolve this is to contact support:
1. Go to https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp.
2. Select a category/product family, and type in a brief description of the issue, then click "Next".
3. Select your device from the dropdown, click "Other", then click "Next step".
4. Under "Resources", just click "Next step". (Clicking one of the listed links will bring up a Help page.)
5. Under "Contact options", choose to get a phone call or chat with the team, depending on availability in your country.
yesterday
Thanks David. I was able to get help using the chat support yesterday evening. I was connected with Alice who was super helpful and got a replacement going. For whoever finds this post next, don't bother with the form. Go directly to Google's support. They are super helpful.
