Nest Smoke detector chirps one at 3:09 every day Reports CO sensor failure but then that all is okay

This started 3 days ago. I have dusted around the unit and even used compressed air to clean away any possible dust.

Nest protect reports everything is okay and I even did a checkup and it came back all okay.

It's suspicious that it bleeps one CO chirp and exacctly the same time each day and then says nothing is wrong.

Firmware???

Nest Smoke/O2 hardwired Gen. 2

Hi @TonyLea99

I would suggest cleaning the Protect as indicated by this help page: Clean your Nest products - Google Nest Help .

Firmware should be updated automatically.

Thank you JillG

I have done a thorough cleaning of unit using compressed air and vacuuming all vents I've wiped the unit down. It's set for auto updates. It's still chirps once at the exact same time every day and sends a sensor failure error report. Immediately after it does a system check and reports everything is fine including sensors. Thank you for your help

To add, the unit is about seven years old so may be reaching the end of it's life.

@TonyLea99

On the back of the Protect there are two dates, Mfr date and Replace by date. Check those to see if they are at or close to the replace by date.

@Patrick_CaezzaThank you for your response. As I installed all my Nest Protect Gen 2 units a few years ago, I have decided to replace them as they start to fail.

As I have had a few false alarms sent to my phone, while I have been away from my house, I have decided to go with  another manufacturer for wired CO/Smoke alarms.
