Nest protect expiring

I have Google nest protect products installed in my 3 bedrooms and 2 in the hallway of my home. Today I received a notice from them on my Google home app that the devices are expiring ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿผโ€โ™‚๏ธ

I was shocked to see after researching this notification that the products expire ๐Ÿ˜ก๐Ÿ˜ก๐Ÿ˜ก

is there any type of replacement program credit to replace these 5 products that are expiring? I would hope that after initially purchasing these expensive items, there would be a reduced price to replace them๐Ÿคท๐Ÿผโ€โ™‚๏ธ

I look forward to hear from you and your answer to my questions.

All smoke/CO detectors expire, regardless of the manufacturer.

I bought my Nest  Protects about 10  years ago, mostly because I have very  high ceilings and liked the fact  that they  had 10 year batteries. It  wasn't well  advertised that the life of the unit would expire before the batteries do (what's the point in having  replaceable 10 year batteries?).  Furthmore,  Nest is no  longer making these protects, though  there is the FirstAlert option.   I have little  faith in  Google/Nest  to stand by  their products and will  consider alternatives moving forward.
