Nest protect reconnect problems

The protect disconnected from the network. I tried to connect it again. After many attempts it suggested removing it from my app and adding the product again. Which was fine until I realised all the details needed are on the back of the protect. And I can't remove it from the ceiling to get access to these as it's fitted to close to a later extended attic hatch. Any way around this short or removing the attic hatch surround? I have all the original box and paperwork

Thank you for reaching out to the community. I understand your Nest Protect has disconnected from the network, and you're unable to reconnect it because the required information on the back of the unit is inaccessible due to its installation location. It’s a pleasure to share more information with you. 

To complete the pairing process and reconnect your Nest Protect to the Wi-Fi network via the Nest app, you must either scan the QR code or use the entry key. These are the only available methods to proceed with the connection.
