We have several nest protect smoke alarms. I'm amazed these are labelled "smart" when IMO they have missed the most obvious feature - the ability to call your phone when a smoke alarm is going off when you're not at home. It's not guaranteed you Will see an in app notification! Surely you'd want to get audio notification something at home isn't right? What are other people doing to work around this? Amazed this "feature" hasn't been implemented..
