Nest protest batteries

John5

My nest protect 2 has been installed for the last few years and started bleeping. Changed the batteries with the recommended Energiser ultimate Lithium batteries 10 days ago and the devise is now bleeping again, requesting batteries to be replaced. It also said that the sensors need replacing. Have cleaned sensors as per your instructions and replaced the same  batteries. All seems ok now but the batteries are a problem. Please advise what the problem is and what I can do?

Similar issue. For the last 4 months, batteries drain within 3 weeks. Tried Energizer and Duracell both. The first set of Duracell batteries ran for a year. Now it is beeping for new batteries every 3 weeks. Kindly help.

No, I am not good to go. I am not sure what is happening with the nest protect at my place, it is draining a full set of batteries every 3-4 weeks. I recently replaced it with Li- energizer batteries and am waiting to see how long they will last. It's been 3 weeks now but no notification yet.

Hey there,

Thanks for visiting the Community.

Since this thread hasn't had activity in a while, we're going to close it to keep content fresh. I found an article with some details on the batteries. We hope you were able to get the help you need, but if the issue persists feel free to create a new thread, and provide as many details as possible so that others can lend a hand.

Best regards,
Jake
