We've had 9 of the Nest Gen 2 detectors for 2.5 years.
Last month one started experiencing a constant cycle of false alarms. It would set off all the others every three minutes if it any power.
I did a full clean with compressed air: no change. I dismantled it to check the sensor chamber and reassembled it: still no change. I tried it a week later: no change, still an immediate alarm state.
It was 1 of 4 in a ten foot radius so I felt ok leaving it disconnected while we considered how to replace it.
Today another began experiencing the same behavior: a constant cycle of false alarms. We can't have constant alarms but replacing all of these extremely expensive detectors after less than three years is quite frustrating. Is there any support for these?
The other posts I've read here do not bring me hope.
