Not receiving nest password reset email

Hello. I have tried several times to reset my password to my Nest including linking it to my Google account. I have tried every email address that I have and checked all my spam/junk boxes and I have nothing. Is there any fix for this? My Nest is still linked to my phone as well.

Sorry to hear about this but thanks for reaching out. Let's dig deeper into this. 

 

A few questions — what Google/Nest device do you have? Are you signing into your Nest app using a migrated Google account or a non-migrated Nest email address? Also, does your Nest account end in @Gmail.com domain?

thank you for asking. No I still have not been able to get in touch with my nest protect unfortunately. I don’t know what the problem is. I actually bought another one but I haven’t set it up yet and hope to have better luck communicating with this one, and then possibly communicating with the older one. It’s very frustrating. I used to get reports every month from the older one and I don’t get those anymore so I don’t know what happened to it. I tested it manually and it works. Thank you very much, rafferty8590

I’m not able to sign in to my account either and I’m not receiving the reset email.  Any ideas?  It’s not linked to a google account.

I'm having the same problem

 

Same here rest password no emails arrived checked spam nothing been trying for days now

I'm sorry to hear that you're also having an issue resetting your Nest account password. I'd be happy to take a look into this for you.

 

Please try these steps:

 

  1. Uninstall and reinstall the Nest app, then open it.
  2. Try "Sign in with Google" and "Sign in with Nest" and make sure to enter the same email account associated with your Nest products.
  3. If you can't login, try resetting the password again.
  4. If the same issue persists, check again the spam folder, promotions folder, junk or trash if your email filters junk mail directly to trash.
  5. If you're using different email domain aside from Google, add @Nest.com to your allowlist. This step differs depending on your Internet Service Provider (ISP). If you can't find the steps on how to do this with a simple Google search, contact your ISP for help with the process.
    1. Some email domains may have an anti-spam feature that could block legitimate emails from Nest.

Does not help. Cannot get a verification email to either gmail.com or sbcglobal.net email accounts. 

Nothing ever shows up and nothing in the other folders. 

I  have read where many many people have the same problem and not any have acknowledged a solution. 

I  must have a 1st Gen NEST thermostat as there is no QR code or any key code to be seen on the back of the unit. 

I  cannot access the NEST via the Android app anymore.
