I have four google nest smoke detectors to replace my expiring wired detectors. I got the battery version because Google, in its infinite wisdom, decided to use a different wiring than any other detector. I start to install these and discover that Google, in its infinite wisdom, uses a different backplate for battery vs. wired. Which makes no sense. How can I get the correct backplate for a wired box. From previous postings, it appears that the detector itself fits on either plate. Thanks.
