notification for 'your house is burning down' is no different to a text saying 'whats up'

I have no idea if gen1 or gen2.

As per the title...if i cant alter the nest notification alert sound, then there is not point. I can get texts all day and happily ignore them, so i need a different sound for 'my smoke alarm is going off'. This is basic 101stuff.

iphone.

If Ring can do it(allow you to alter notification sound), i expect to be able to do it with Nest

let me know how...

Hi everyone,

@charlie12d, we understand if you can't customize your own notification for your Nest Protect alerts. However, we don't have any news to share about applying this feature to the Nest app. We're always looking for ways to improve and we'll take it as feedback. We would suggest you send your feedback to let the Google Engineering team know about your concern. While they won't respond directly back to you, this is the best way to let them know about this. Let us know if you have more questions in mind as I’ll be locking this thread after 24 hours.

I appreciate the help, Patrick_Caezza and Archie.

Thanks,

Emerson
