Everytime I try to complete the setup on my thermostat it crashes at the point where it's about to test the system. Just returns to the homescreen of the app without the device activated. Anything I can do to set up this (now installed) device?

Try uninstalling your Google Home app, or try to set up with a different phone/device.

This fixed the initial issue where the app was crashing, but the thermostat can't be located by the app now.

Thanks Jake! I gave up on this after hitting a dead end in this thread and that article (among others)

nope, still at a dead end. What else should I try?
