Hi, I have a 9 month old 3rd Gen Nest Thermostat controlling my heating and hot water. For no apparent reason, since yesterday, the boiler and heating is on permanently even when the Thermostat and App say it is off. I’ve had to turn the boiler to off to stop it running. Something else that’s odd is the thermostat thinks the house temperature is higher than it actually is; says 20.5C and the outside temp is currently 13C. Does anyone have troubleshooting guidance? Should I reset the thermostat back to factory defaults and setup afresh? Thanks

Do you have a Heat Link fitted? How many lights on the Heat Link if so?

OK, in that case what you are saying is.........Green light on normally, but when you press the button you get 3 lights?
Does the boiler come on when you press the button and the 3 lights come on?
On your display, do you see a yellow icon at the bottom?
Regarding the temperature, you thermostat sees inside temp, not outside. You say it shows 20.5C, what is the temperature of the room where the display is?
A factory reset could be worth a try if you think thigs are not right, but I would think a setting is incorrect.

Thanks for your help, I did a hard reset of the Heat Link and it seems to have cleared the fault.
