3rd generation Thermostat & heat link will not pair

John109

My 3rd generation thermostats in 2 zones had been working perfectly until last week. Changed my Broadband provider,  Zone 1 which is wired was easily re connected & is working perfectly through App. Zone 2 which is wifi will not work. Heat link & Thermostat refuse to pair, have tried all the steps suggested also looked for solutions on You Tube. Blue set up light flashes continually after reset but thermostat just says Failed to connect.  Can anyone help, find it impossible to get answers from Google

Before we get into this to deep, can you explain ALL the steps you have tried?

Zone 1 heat link & App working well.

Zone 2 Works on manuel

Have tried - Re setting heat link & thermostat by pressing 20/40/60 seconds

Turned off heating completely

Reset code on thermostat found on cover of heat link

None of the above works

Can you also confirm the number you found on the Heat Link cover matches the number seen by the left hand fixing screw of the Heat Link? Sometimes these get mixed up.

Yes have checked the numbers, both are the same.

Also turned off Broadband router, no effect

The first thing this is not a WiFi issue or anything to do with your broadband, this is a pairing issue between the display and Heat Link. One thing to check, have you installed anything new in the home that might be interference? Can you get the display close to the Heat Link, and try pairing?

A new broadband provider is the only thing that changed, last week , have a mesh system, turned off bb in case there was some interference. nothing else changed. Only thing I notice is when I do a reset on Heat Link thought it should turn white, yellow then blue, after reset goes immediately intermittent blue which stays permanently

Mesh can cause havoc. Have you reset the Heat Link the correct way? Press button for 30/40 seconds NOT before regardless if the light flashes, just keep pressed for a good 40 seconds. Do that twice. Then try pairing using replace heat link. See if that helps

Have tried resetting heat link as you suggest, will try again, also will disconnect Mesh & see if it helps ( mesh was connected before & working well before new BB provider)

Have tried resetting as you suggested, also disconnected mesh. Nothing seems to work, this is so frustrating

Are the 2 close? Try moving the display closer, see if that helps.
