3rd generation thermostat - no power on heat link

Nige

My heatlink has suddenly stopped working - no lights at all but 240v is present at the terminals. Pressing buttons etc has no response. Appears to be a common problem with numerous other people reporting exactly the same issue. So what is the problem and solution?

Looks like the same problem here. I tried heating today for the first time sine Jan and it's not working. There are no lights on the heat sink. It was only installed just over a year ago!

Hello everyone,

I'm happy to see that you've been sent out replacements. I'm hoping that everything is back on track now. Let me know if you need my help with anything else.

@Mike77, have you tried these steps?

Press the button on the Heat Link and check if you have any lights on it
Check if the circuit breakers and the switches are set to on
Turn them off and then back on
Press on the button again and check for LEDs

Hey everyone,

Just checking in. Do you still need my help?

I’m sorted with the faulty unit shipped back yesterday via DHL. Many thanks for your help @CristianC !

That's great. I'm happy to hear that. If anything comes up, let me know.

Replacement installed now, hope this glitch is sorted by the manufacturer. I was without heat for nearly a week while recovering from surgery.

Hi Christian, I've just filled in the form you posted above, didn't add my community username as I've just joined but added both serial numbers ending in FN and W6. If you could please advance my query to the right place that would be most appreciated 🙂 Thanks!

I have exactly the same problem , just paid for a gas engineer to come out to tell me my nest link has broken. 14mo the old all that money and I’ve been left without heating at the coldest time of the year

disappointed

Same issue I'm here. Gen 2 nest installed mid 2020. Was away for 2 weeks and the fuse box was off. Having returned and turned everything on there are no lights in the heatsink and an H71 error.  It did work initially when Turned on as I then set it to eco mode.

One zone l, thermostat constantly plugged in.  Now located in the same cupboard as the heatsink

Jus ha d same problem here , solution Google ‘Google nest phone number’ give them a call I’ve got 2 replacement heat links on their way, very quick to get this done. They are also paying for electricians time to fit. Shoddy product for 2 to break after only 18 months but credit to Google on customer service
