Hello, I have a commercial building that uses 6 different Nest thermostats. I’ve had the app and had all 6 thermostats set up on my phone.
New summer, and I forgot my passcode to manually unlock the thermostats. I have an employee that needs to manually set temperatures when I’m away from the store and my phone doesn’t connect to the thermostats.
Anyway, I eventually learned how to reset the passcodes through the app, but the 1st thermostat I tried to do this on, I completely removed the thermostat from my app, and wanted to just ‘add a product’
I pulled the thermostat off the wall, and scanned the QR code, and it wants me to reinstall everything, which I can’t do.
Is there someway for me to add the thermostat back to my app without the passcode (which I’ve forgotten)?
thanks,
Alex

If you can't control it using the app anymore to change/reset the PIN, you'll need to reset it using a computer.
If the Nest drive is successfully showing up on your computer, can you see a technicalinfo.PLIST file? If you get this far let me know and I'll ask a community specialist to assist with next steps, as these can't be shared publicly in the community.
