Thinking of purchasing the regular Nest Thermostat. This is the current thermostat in the home.

Red wire >>> RC

Brown wire >>> G

Yellow wire >>> Y

White wire >>> W

There's a jumper on RH and RC. Google says jumper wire is not needed, so I can toss that. I'm not sure about the blue wire though. It's not connected to anything. System works fine - heating and AC cooling. Should I leave the blue wire alone or connect it to the "O/B" on the Nest Thermostat?

EDIT: My bad. Blue wire could go into C from what I've read.

Hi tastetea,

Thanks for reaching out. To make sure that the blue wire could go to the C terminal of your Nest Thermostat, please check the control board of your HVAC system.

Thanks,

Edward
