Hi All
i want to set a schedule for one hour in the morning do i set at a 21 temp to start and a 21 temp to finish, say 06.30-07.30 and it will turn off at 07.30?

Create one set point at 6:30am, for 21, and then create a second set point, at 7:30am, for 10 or some other very low temperature. That way, after 7:30am the Nest won't turn your heat on unless the house temperature falls below 10. So it's effectively off.
The Nest always aims at the most recent set point in the schedule; there's no concept of "a 21 temp to finish".

Many thanks for the reply, it makes total sense. Unfortunately there must be a fault as I have been doing this but it keeps turning the heating on randomly and even added another added temp to schedule
will contact installer

Sure. I have used HIVE before and find it more user friendly, they had a "boost" facility also, will you be adding this at all?

I'm not familiar with HIVE's boost functionality, shaun4. Can you explain it and I can see if there's a counterpart?
Thanks,
Jeff

Simply boost heating or water for 1 hour 2 etc . With Nest it’s a manual thing , you have to just increase thermostat manually by increasing heat, quite often one forgets , with boost it turn off automatically and no need to worry heat is on when one’s does not want it to be

Thanks for the explanation, shaun4. While that feature isn't available now, I can definitely see your use case for it and I'll pass it along to our teams as a feature request. Those requests are reviewed regularly by our teams when making product decisions, so I'll make sure your voice is heard on that.
Thanks,
Jeff
