Can I use temp sensor for my nest in a single zone?

Our bedroom is freezing compared to our living room where the nest thermostat is. Our house is one floor, one zone. If I use the temp sensor in the bedroom, will that work with a single zone? How does it work with the other rooms, will they be extra warm since the heat will stay on to warm the bedroom?

In short, The thermostat will keep the heater running till your room hit the target set point. The other solution is to close the vent in the other rooms so that most of the warm air will get to your room faster, and keep the other room a little bit cooler. I know there are some smart vent where they will open and close the vent automatically once the setting temperature is hit.

If there are significant barriers or limited airflow between rooms, the temperature readings from the Nest Temperature Sensor may not accurately represent the overall temperature in the house.
