Can anyone tell me if this can use a nest thermostat?

Yes, Your current thermostat is compatible with a Nest thermostat. Which one will depend on the answers to these questions?

Do you have a Heat Pump or a conventional system?

Do you have a humidifier/dehumidifier or something else installed?

The red and white wires to the S1 terminals will not be used and must be taped off.

The orange wire going to the U1 terminal controls a humidifier/dehumidifier or something similar.
