Can no longer adjust thermostat with nest app on iPhone

Until today I was able to adjust our nest thermostat from my iphone, set schedules etc. Now all I see is an option for Home or Away. I have deleted the app and reinstalled it. No change. I also signed out and back in. Still no change. I can adjust the thermostat directly from the Nest device, it shows correct wifi connection and also indicates it is connected to a device. 
Not sure how to fix this problem. Would appreciate some help to regain control of the thermostat from my iPhone. Thanks.

I'm having the same problem on my Samsung phone it just shows the home and away options. I can no longer control turning it on or anything else. I tried to see if it can disconnect the nest device from my account so i can connect it all over again as if it was the first time but I can't find any way to do that either.

Hi, I ended up cali g customer service for help. Apparently you have to log back into your account and it should work. But we had to reinstall the device and now it’s working.

Toledoshanette, how's it going on your end? Have you had the chance to reach out to our support team like Hf98 did? If you still need help, let me know of the details below:

  • Can you see your thermostat when you're signed into your Nest app? 
  • If it is there, are you getting a message when trying to navigate the settings like chance temperatures?
  • Have you tried logging out then signing back in using the same email address you used to set up your thermostat?
