I had my Heat Link wired up to my boiler a few days ago, and it works fine manually (press the button twice to turn heating on, etc).
I can also add my Nest Thermostat E to my account no problem, set the Wifi up etc.
However, when it comes to linking the thermostat to the heat link, I just get the same error message over and over again. It says it tries to speak to the thermostat to assist with setup, and it takes forever and then just fails. The devices are on the same wifi network and barely 4 metres apart. No walls etc in between. I’ve tried resetting both devices and it makes no difference.
Any ideas on how to resolve this? I feel like I’ve wasted my money on installation etc and it’s stressing me out because I did it to help bring my energy bills down in a cost of living crisis.

Hi @jdb92_, thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue, but we'll sort this out together. You can try these troubleshooting steps and then let me know if you get the same result:
1. Turn off Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on your phone, put the phone in Airplane mode, then turn Wi-Fi and Bluetooth back on.
2. Restart the router.
3. Force quit the Nest app, reopen it, and remove the thermostat if it shows as 'Thermostat incomplete'.
4. Tap the + button to add a product, then choose 'Continue without scanning'. Then choose Nest Thermostat > Nest Thermostat E with Heat Link E > Nest Thermostat E.
5. When you get to the Heat Link part, press and hold its button until the LED goes blue, then scan the QR code from the Heat Link immediately after.
