Bought a house with a nest system installed. I am connected to the nest thermostat but I cannot connect the nest temp. Sensor because it's already connected to another account. I have removed the battery for 5 min to an hour to reset as I have read here with no change.

To reset Nest Temperature Sensor, you typically have to leave the battery removed for 72 hours (3 days).

You might need to restart your thermostat to refresh its connection and move the sensor close to it in order to establish a good connection.
