Can’t log on to nest or Google nest  need to talk to a customer service person

Checking in — did you get a chance to try the steps shared by MplsCustomer? If you haven tried it yet, You can follow the steps below:

For the Nest app.

  1. Open the Nest app or visit https://goo.gle/2qjvVSU.
  2. Tap Sign in with Nest and then Forgot Password.
  3. Enter your email address and then Reset password.
  4. You’ll receive an email to reset your password. 

If you've enabled 2-step verification, you’ll need to verify your account to reset your password.

For the Google Home app.

Reset your password
  1. Follow the steps to recover your account. You'll be asked some questions to confirm it's your account and an email will be sent to you.  If you don’t get an email:

2. Choose a password that you haven't already used with this account. Learn how to create a strong password.

What if nest does not have the correct # for your two step verification? There are no other options.

Hello Ringisabetterco,

 

I appreciate you posting and updating us on your efforts to address your concern finding a fix. If your number on the 2-step verification is not updated you´ll need to contact your phone provider’s support for help regaining access to your phone number. 

 

If you can’t regain access to your phone number after contacting their support, you’ll have to factory reset your Nest products, and then add them to a new account. 

 

Note: You’ll have to re-invite people to share access to your home in your new account, and you’ll lose any video history and device settings information.

@Lriff, to get access to your Nest Camera, the original owner of the account should grant you access to the Google Home app to view the camera. If the old manager is the only one who has access to your Nest camera and there is no way to contact him to ask for the login details of the old Nest account, you need to factory reset all of the Nest cameras and add them to a new account. Here is a link on how to restart and factory reset your Nest camera or doorbell.

Those are two entirely different events.

When you try to log onto the Google Nest app using the "Sign on with Google" option, what error are you getting? Have you previously been logging onto the Google Nest app using the "Sign on with Google" option? Or are you trying to log onto the Google Home app?  If that's the case, what error are you getting?

If you're getting an error that your Nest Cam Indoor is linked to another account, you must be logged into either the Google Nest app or the Google Home app (even though you said you couldn't log in) and are trying to reinstall your camera for some reason. The problem could be that you're trying to reinstall a camera that was not previously removed or factory reset, and the "other account" is actually your account.

Is your camera a 1st gen or a 2nd gen Nest Cam Indoor? Why are you trying to reinstall it?

There are a lot of details about your situation that are not clear. It might be easier if you just contacted Support, using the link and instructions in this post:

I'm just another Google Nest customer, but I don't believe Google Nest ever calls a customer based on a post in this forum, plus it's against Google Nest's policy to post personal phone numbers in this forum.

Google Nest also does not publish support phone numbers, unfortunately. The only way to reach Support is to use their "Contact Us" link; on the last page, depending on the time of day, there is usually a phone callback option (often in less than 1 minute). Hi. I’m not sure if it migrated or not. My phone did a random update and now it won’t let me log in, reset password or access through Google.

Please read the earlier posts in this thread for how to contact Support. Google Nest Support does NOT call people based on posts in this forum; it's against their policy to post personal phone numbers, and they may edit your post to remove your phone number. (I'm just another Google Nest customer.)

Google Nest simply does NOT call customers based on posts in this forum. And their terms of service prohibit posting of personal information like phone numbers, so they'll probably remove your phone number.
