Nest Thermostat (2020) isn't compatible with either generation of temperature sensor unfortunately.
Both generations of sensor are compatible with the Google Nest Thermostat E and Google Nest Learning Thermostat (3rd gen and 4th gen). Nest Learning Thermostat (4th gen) comes with a Nest Temperature Sensor (2nd gen), but is also compatible with the 1st gen sensor.
