Connect thermostat to Wi-Fi

My nest isn’t allowing me to connect to my Wi-Fi. I’m not even seeing how to connect. The nest app tells me to use google home but the google home page doesn’t have a connect to Wi-Fi option.

You need to install the Google Home app from the play store not the Google home page on the internet.

Hi folks,

@Houptee, thanks for the help!

@Geno0718, thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear that you're having an issue with connecting your Nest Thermostat to your Wifi. I'd love to know more about this and I have a few questions:

  • What type of Nest Thermostat do you have?
  • Can you control your Nest Thermostat stand alone?

Also, if you haven't yet, you could try the steps on this link to connect your Nest Thermostat to your Wifi.

Thanks,

Edward

It doesn’t work. It’s not holding a temperature either. I’ll just return it this is my 2nd one in 2 weeks. I’ll find another product a little more user friendly.

Hey there,

Oh no, don't give up on it yet. Could you provide more details about what's going on so I could take a closer look at it?

  • What type of thermostat is this? Check this out for more information: https://bit.ly/3noGw7F
  • Are you getting a message or a code when trying to get it connected to WiFi?
  • Can you control the device manually?

I'll look forward to your response.

Melba
