Hi - I have a Honeywell (model 97-4730) 2 wire thermostat (picture attached) that I'm trying to change to a Nest Thermostat. Because there's no C wire, I purchased a Nest Power Connector, however the problem is that there is no C terminal on my Carlin EZ-1HP furnace (see pictures).
In following the instructions on page 10-11 of the Nest Power Connector Pro Installation, I see that it requires a separate 24V adaptor which I have purchased.
Now that I have everything, I want to make sure I am installing this correctly. Based on how I have displayed the set up in the diagram, does this seem correct?
Things to note:
For the 24v adaptor, one wire is white and the other has dark grey lines. Does make a difference?
The current thermostat has the red wire going to W and the white wire going to R. Can I switch these when rewiring?

Hello jkd2390,
Thanks for taking the time to let us know about your inquiry. I'd be happy to take a look into this.
I appreciate you sharing the photos that would help us with your Nest Power Connector installation. Based on the first picture, it appears that you labeled it correctly. You cannot interchange the designated wires directly on the panel with your thermostat wires. Make sure to properly install it directly on your furnace so it can detect the connected wires during the set-up on your thermostat, and please keep us posted on how it goes.
Regards,
Mark
