Others have posted on this situation, but the resolution is not showing for me.
I’m adding Nest App to a 2nd phone. The Nest thermostat was installed 1 year ago with no issues.
I’m not able to gain access to the enter key on the thermostat to then enter into the phone app. The message I get on the thermostat is already installed.
Based on other posts, I do not want to do a hard reset or reinstall .
what is the resolution here?
thanks

I'm a little confused. If all you are doing is trying to access your Nest account from a second phone, all you should have to do is to install the Google Nest app and then login to the Google Nest app with the same Google (gmail) account and password used on your first phone. Once logged on, you should be able to see the same Google Nest devices as on your first phone.

The app asks for the Enter Key, which is not able to be shown on the Nest Thermostat. The Thermostat shows Done message.

Hi folks,
@MplsCustomer, thanks for the help!
@dkap, thanks for reaching out. The entry key would only be available if the Nest Thermostat is not yet linked to a Nest account. If you're trying to access this thermostat on a different phone, you could invite the account on that phone as a family member. You can click on this link to learn more about this.
Thanks,
Edward
