Error T030– adding device on app

Thermostat is setup and connected to wifi but when trying to setup on Google home app— the assisting device (tried both an iPhone and android) won’t find it/connect. No issues with wifi or network)

Thanks for reaching out and I'm sorry to hear about what's going on with your Nest thermostat. I want to dig deeper into this. 

 

A few questions — do you have the new Nest Thermostat with a mirrored display? Do you happen to have other Google or Nest devices in the same house where you're setting this one up? Also, please try the suggested steps below: 

 

  1. Make sure that the assisting device is powered on. If it isn’t, charge it or connect it to a working power source.
  2. If the assisting device isn’t in use, remove it from the Nest app.
  3. If you have more than one Wi-Fi network, you may have to move your phone to the same network the assisting device uses.
