I have a heat pump and am trying to sort out where to connect the old W2 and W/E wires to the new Nest.

I will attempt to upload a picture of the existing config.

@Dtc13 ,

You have a heat pump with Auxiliary Heat and Emergency Heat.  Your Red Wire goes to Rh. Your Orange wire goes to *OB, the yellow wire goes to Y1, you have a brown wire going to G , and a second brown wire going to Y2.  Put the G brown wire on G and the Y2 brown wire to Y2.  The White wire goes to W2/AUX.  this is your Auxiliary Heat.  The brown wire in W2 goes to the W2/Aux and the white wire goes to the * terminal and will be defined as Emergency heat.

Hi DTC13, did you get your nest setup? My heat pump inverter system thermostat is wired the same.  I am wondering were the brown wire in w2 goes and white in w/e should connect for nest 3. How did you do it? Also is your system single fuel (electric)?

Yes, I have a single fuel electric heat pump. I ended up with a different wiring configuration that what was suggested. I had to have an HVAC guy come out because I was having trouble with the heat. I’ll get a picture tomorrow and upload it showing where the W/E and W2 wires got placed into the Nest.

Here is a photo of how it ended up being wired in the Nest.

@Dtc13 ,

They you currently have your Google Nest Learning Thermostat wired is the W1 is condisered Duel-Fuel.  The Emergency heat ( the white wire) should be on the “*” terminal.
