The battery on the thermostat appears to be faulty. Nest have said they will send a replacement once we return the old one AND pay £219.
The product is faulty and under warranty and by reading other posts we may not get our money back or a thermostat that works.

Oh dear another one!
You sound like you are in the UK? Take the thermostat back the retailer/installer. it's THEIR problem. Search the forum, I mention this time and time again!!
